Who am I?

I’m a 42-year-old writer living in Brooklyn, New York. I was diagnosed with stage three Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March 2013. After six months of ABVD chemotherapy, I was diagnosed with refractory Hodgkin’s lymphoma and completed high-dose chemotherapy and radiation before an autologous stem cell transplant. I started this blog to share my experience with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and to find out what might be in store from people with similar experiences.

In early 2016, I was diagnosed with an unrelated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, which was removed with a Whipple procedure. In November of 2016, the tumor returned, and after chemotherapy did not shrink the tumor, I had an ablation in April 2017. The ablation was successful, but the tumor returned to my pancreas later that year. I have undergone a liver embolization and more radiation. I underwent PRRT treatment to manage my tumors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Currently, I am dying of the neuroendocrine tumors.
